Music Company Orchestra offers pops music

The Music Company Orchestra presents its summer concert series featuring popular patriotic and pops music to celebrate the season.

Performance dates include Sunday, June 12, 2 p.m. at Clifton Park Halfmoon Public Library, 475 Moe Road, Clifton Park, and Sunday, June 26, 4 p.m. at North Bennington Village School, 9 School St., Bennington, Vt.  A joint concert with Sage City Symphony to benefit the school music department.

Also, Sunday, July 10, at 7 p.m. at Freedom Park, Schonowee Avenue, Scotia, next to Jumpin’ Jacks. The 60-piece volunteer community orchestra is conducted by Dr. Gerald Lanoue.

All concerts are free and open to the public.  The Music Company Orchestra performs for those who do not ordinarily hear orchestral music so they can experience the excitement of a live concert. In addition to playing at area retirement centers and nursing homes, the volunteer group supports local needs and charities. Visit http://www.mcomusic.org for information.
