Walk to End Alzheimer’s seeks volunteers

Volunteers are sought for the 2014 Capital Region Walk to End Alzheimer’s, on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Siena College,
515 Loudon Road, Loudonville.

Sign up to help  on the day of the walk, or help in more long-term ways by joining the  Alzheimer’s Association planning committee. Each year, thousands of volunteers across the country help  bring Walk to End Alzheimer’s to more than 650 local communities in the United States.

On the day of the walk, registration, music and  the Truscto Bank kids area –  with bounce house behind Siena Hall — opens at 10 a.m.;  zumba warm-up is at 11 a.m. Check in at Sarazen Student Union; the opening ceremonies and walk kick off at 11:30 a.m. Refreshments will be available 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Participants who raise $100 get a Walk T-shirt! Raise $500 and get a Champions Medal. The  main walk route length is two miles; mini-walk route is a half- mile.
