Wine event benefits seniors home heating

The 10th annual Warmth of Wine, a benefit for the Colonie Senior Service Center to help senior citizens pay for home heating,  is planned Thursday, Feb. 26, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Century House, Route 9, Latham.

Tickets are $50 per person.

The event showcases vintages from wineries around the world, food, silent and live auctions.

Reservations can be made online at http://www.colonieseniors.org or contact Sue at 459-2857, ext. 327, or warmthofwine@colonieseniors.org. Visit Facebook.com/warmthofwine.

For honorary committee tickets at $125 per person a pre-party champagne party will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., with a first chance on silent auctions and  the Mystery Wine Pull.

All funds raised  go directly to help seniors in need, supporting senior independence through Umbrella of Colonie, the home maintenance program of Colonie Senior Service Centers.
